Colourful hammocks for extra comfortable relaxation
Comfortable and very strong hammocks
The MoreThanHip XXL is the ideal hammock to relax in. Alone, with two or even with the whole family! The fabric measures 245 x 210 cm and offers a lot of space. And do not worry about its strength: it can carry at least 180 kgs. The parachute silk (nylon) and the triple stitches make a powerful combination.
Light and airy hammock fabric
Parachute fabric is breathable, creating a natural ventilation and a great comfort. The fabric does not absorb moisture or sweat and therefore will not smell. Moreover, due to the lightweight parachute silk a XXL hammock weighs only 650 grams.
Hammock in a compact package
After use you can easily roll up the hammock back in the pouch which is attached to the hammock. Ideal for in the garden, on your terrace or balcony, but also easy to take with you on vacation, hiking or picknicking.
Parachute Silk: the ideal material for hammocks
The XXL hammock is made of parachute silk (nylon). This is a very durable material, resistant to water, mold (weather spots) and sun (UV radiation). For the production of polyamide indeed non-renewable fossil fuels are used, yet the process is relatively durable in comparison to cotton, which uses many pesticides and water. In addition, a parachute silk hammock will last meanly three times longer than a cotton hammock.
Fair production in Indonesia
The MoreThanHip XXL hammocks are fairly made in Indonesia. Production takes place in a small workshop with six employees. They are paid well to local conditions and for health insurance by the employer. Moreover, the employees get good meals provided.
CO2 compensation through Hivos Climate Fund
The CO2 emissions from production and transport of MoreThanHip XXL hammock is compensated by the Hivos Climate Fund. This fund gives people in developing countries access to renewable energy and contributes to poverty alleviation, improving their health and their quality of life. The compensation of Hivos is a mix of three products: saving of firewood by cooking on economic stoves, saving firewood for cooking by creating biogas plants, electricity in remote areas through the construction of small hydropower plants. Access to energy is an important prerequisite for prosperity. And investing in renewable energy is ultimately better for the global CO2 emissions.
