Stylish small handmade sturdy hemp canvas and leather. Both materials are remnants of upholsteries from Sicily.

Just large enough to carry paperwork and e.g. an iPad or tablet around. And of course all your daily stuff.
The solid sand-colored canvas hemp contrasts nicely with the dark brown or black leather.

The bottom, sides and decorative stripes are made of leather. 

Inside is lined with yellow awning fabric (remnants) and with two large pockets.
The bag closes with two magnetic closures and has a comfy and adjustable soft nylon strap.

Hemp is no cannabis, but a miracle plant.
Hemp (Cannabis sativa) is one of the most notorious plants grown in the Netherlands. Officially, only under strict conditions. That used to be different and it was harvested on a large scale for the manufacture of fabrics. Hemp was even a mandatory crop in England and the American colonies, because it was the main source for rope.

The name canvas also comes from the word cannabis. In Europe there is a debate going on for some time to get hemp from the black list and in like new arable crop. It is not about the "smokable" variety, but the "hemp". The plant provides an excellent usable paper fiber.
The outer layer of the stem provides high quality fibers which very well banknotes can be made, the rest can be used in the paper manufacturing. Hemp fibers are also very useful as a raw material for textiles (the first of Strauss jeans were made from hemp fiber!). Fine work, we should not expect, but durable canvas and cloth for clothing and tarpaulins can be very well made.

Made from upcycled lorry tarpaulins that have covered thousands of miles these bags are built to last. The tarpaulin is well cleaned, cut it into useable pieces then sewn together with the aid of some salvaged seat-belt webbing for handles.

As with all our truck tarp products every bag is unique and may show signs of wear (we call it character).
